Since 2000, Coram SSF has transformed the lives of over 300,000 young people and their teachers

We aim to:

  1. promote life skills, social cohesion and ambition
  2. promote educational attainment, especially in literacy, literature and the performing arts
  3. provide a unique cultural and creative experience to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds

Inclusivity

We believe Shakespeare is for everyone. Every year children from very different backgrounds come together to perform on the same stage. We have used the power of Shakespeare to improve the life chances of thousands of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK and with children with special educational needs.

Our reach

At our core is our Festival - the world’s largest youth drama festival. We train and support teachers from primary, secondary and special schools to work actively and ambitiously with Shakespeare. This culminates in exhilarating performances in professional theatres. The impact of what we do is felt not only by pupils and teachers but by parents and the wider community. The impact is life changing.

Coram SSF provides you with everything you need - resources, workshops, expert advice, dedicated support and more - to direct your students in a life-changing performance of Shakespeare on a local professional stage.

Coram SSF is a cultural education charity that exists to instil curiosity and empathy, aspiration and self-esteem, literacy and teamwork - giving young people the confidence to see that all the world is their stage.
